Short but nice Langkawi Trip 2009

Had took some time off work to spend my weekend at Langkawi from 24 - 27 July 09. The main purpose is for relaxing, alcohol drinks and also photoshooting while eating around Langkawi. Had the chance to eat nice food and meet some nice people, great trip along with our photography gears. Both myself and Sarah is learning up some new techniques and our gears more as we spend more time on photography. Manage to take few shots here and there... some of the photos that we took are at the following location for viewing :-)

Bon Odori 2009

The Bon Odori this year is held at the same place as the previous years to commomerate the Ghost Festival for Japan folks. Took my gear, Olympus E-3, 12-60mm and 50-200mm to the event and started shooting some candid shots of some of the best moments that was seen there. The link to the album is at below:

Terence & Hui Nee's Wedding Luncheon

Attended Terence and Hui Nee's wedding luncheon at Noble Banquet. Congratulations to them on this great event of their life! I had the opportunity to use my E-3 on that day, probably get a tip or two from some mentors there for wedding shooting. Below is the slideshow of the photos that i took the other day:

Outstanding from year 2008?

Few things were left undone or didn't have the time to complete it before the year 2008 rolled down its curtain. Some of them are as below:

1) Edit most of my photos that was taken during the year and on the trips that i have went or also some events that i attended.

2) Complete the Hong Kong journal that i was looking forward to close by year end.

3) Get a copy of the Mamma Mia soundtrack from Istana Budaya as promised to Sarah, but due to my sudden notice to fly offshore, this has been distrupted.

4) Watch Bedtime Stories at cinema, but due to the packed cinema during holiday seasons and also sudden call to go offshore, this has to be delayed to a later date.

5) Pack up my room to a better state than now... for the preparation for the coming CNY. Bet have to do this when i come back from offshore.

6) Hmm... wall climbing course. Which was promised to Sarah earlier but due to my busy schedule with work; whereby initially i was to work on weekends as well, also to go offshore when needed, so the weekend were not able to cater for this activity yet.

7) Have more time on photography... to improve and sharpen my skills.

8) Send my Jack to 'obedience class' to train him up to be more obidient.

List goes on...

Need to get time to settle those unsettled business asap by the new year...

Christmas Show in MidValley - Circus Theme

Went to MidValley the other day to get something for my office but end up having some shots there which were related to circus theme this year in MidValley. Below is some of the shots taken that day. Enjoy it :)



After shooting the event which lasted for about half an hour, i went walking and trying to seek for the dealer selling Izzi, but end up there was no more IT shop in MidValley that sells Izzi. So i headed up to LowYat to get it along with some other stuff that i need to get/stock up.

Non-working weekday

As usual, i am getting the odd week for my working schedule this week. I would be working on the wekeend as this would be the second week that i work on weekends. Hmm... surely will have pros and cons. Pro is that i would be able to do some stuff which i have not have the chance to do, such as those errands or outstanding chores from previous weeks, month or year? Haha, i know... just that life is too busy sometimes or to find the right time to do those, its hard to come by. Cons is where all people is relaxing and enjoying their weekends, i would be the sole person needing to work on weekend. It is kind of dreadful to pull myself up from my bed on weekends, especially after a rough and tiring night on Friday, that is normally when all my friends would gather out for an outing.

As for this week, i had something different i would say. For Monday, i had myself a dip in the swimming pool at night, it was about 8-9pm. Never had night dip before, there was not many people there as it was night and the pool was pretty dark, but it is kind of fun to have the whole pool to myself :)

As for today, i did something different as well. I went out with my sis to buy the ingredients that i need for my Chocolate Chips cookies. After buying all and reaching home, it was already 3pm, so at once we start our task for the day and after few rounds, we are getting better at what we were doing then. Later at about 5pm plus, i manage to get all baked and pack for what i need and headed out. Yea, before i head out, i had the chance to get a quick shower as i do not want to go out with the smell of baking powder or choc chips and etc. Haha. Guess can take up cooking or baking as a hobby besides my other hobby of photo shooting :)

It was an enjoying day, but perhaps tomorrow will be a different day. I would need to renew my driving license as it is expiring soon, but come to think of going to the govt dept for all these, it is really a pain in the ASS!!!

What a tiring day ...

Yesterday, i gave the few girls of Rumah Sayangan the replacement class that i promised the day before as i was nto able to make it to them as i was too tired and fatique, at the same time having a slight headache also.

Yesterday, i off work earlier as yesterday i was on shift, last day so should off by 4pm. But on that day, i still have to rush to Cyberjaya to Scopetel to pick up the 2 servers that we have placed it there previously. We were a bit late as we (me and Razmi) were having some training with Ee Vern and doing some practical. After the practical, we rush to the Scopetel and then back to office. At first was arranging to have a group dinner, me, Ee Vern and Winnie but lastly called off as Winnie needs to meet up with some designer for some artwork issue. So only left me and Ee Vern to have dinner. We have some chat for some time before i send her back to office while i proceed on to the Rumah Sayangan for tuition.

I was kind of tired, but this is something meaningful, so i took a deep breath and then walked into the house. Only i notice that the other two gals, Cindy and Angeline have followed Susan to Seremban, hence i was only left with Ruby. She played up as she was the only one that had to undergo tutorial and did complain quite some time before i manage to get her to focus a bit to do some of the work that i have prepared.

After one hour plus, i decided to call it a day so i took my way out and back home i went. After giving tuition to her, i felt quite relief and contented as i have the chance to help out those needy. Perhaps i would be going for one of the charity dinner held by the committee of the shelter homes to aid one of the home that just lost one of the founder where they are left without any directions and also lack of aids. I might be going with her to the dinner :)

Aqmar's Wedding Day

Yesterday, i have attended Aqmar's wedding celebration at Putrajaya, her house at Precint 10. Decided to convoy there from Wisma 1 at about 1pm. Some were late as usual, i arrive at about 1.02pm cause i went to fill in my petrol tank.

After about 25 minutes waiting, we have accumulated all those present and started our journey to Aqmar's house. We traveled there in 6 cars. Those present were Chee Lung, his wife, Richard, Shuh Han, Sarah, Aida, Nizam, Seaw Wei, his girlfriend, Khai Chen, Chin Leng and me.

Way there was okay, but the parking was hard as there was a lot of attendee and car were parked along the roadside with the guide of the security personnel. After parking our car, we walked to her house, Aqmar was still in the house while waiting for the 'Pengantin Lelaki' to approach the house. We settled ourselves at the table, Andrew Wong was there with his wife way earlier than us and he nearly finished with his dish when we arrive.

After eating at the table, i was not eating as i was feeling a little too hot at the place as the weather was rather hot these few days. Just drank lots of H2O to cool my body and also to get more fluid to my system. Later, went on shooting some photos for the events. Some of the photos taken are as below.

Wow, what a great day. Too bad that i reached there late and didn't have the chance to take more photos with Aqmar. Anyway, would like to wishes her Congratulation and Happy Marriage :)

Send Sarah home and i too went home to rest, what a hot day today...

~ KLCC : Lonely and Boring ~

Waiting for time to pass in KLCC. Sitting at the Coffee Bean while surfing net. But the connection here really sucks. Probably in another half an hour or so before i would be able to start my journey back home. Don't know why, suddenly feel very tired and sleepy. Perhaps i need more rest before i go for vacation tomorrow at Cameron Highlands.

Main intention is to rest and relax there while giving myself a chance to enjoy and feel my new E-510 with the probable sceneries there. Looking forward to some great shots there and also to have a whole enjoyable experience there. Plans to depart at 8am tomorrow and hopefully would be able to reach Cameron by 12 noon where we can spend some time to walk around before we check in to the hotel at Tanah Rata.

Now still in the midst of planning where to go, either to spend one single night there or make it a two night stay before coming back to KL for the new year countdown. Lets see how it goes, but i am looking forward to a great trip there to have a slow end to year 2007 and also in preparation for a loud bang for the year 2008 :)

Bought quite some stuff from MidValley also, quite a number of items were on sales. I am poorer by few hundred bucks again. Anyhow, its Christmas and also Year End Sales...What the heck...

Outing @ Sunway Pyramid - 20 Dec 2007

The six days of my off days were done and over with. I have not spend it wisely, but seems it could be better. Sigh, guess tomorrow is going to be a long day as human behave lazily directly or indirectly after having long break. Tomorrow will be working day for me until the weekend which is Sunday. No weekend for me this week and looking forward to Christmas.

Today went to Sunway Pyramid to shop and also to snap some photos. Too bad on the deco at the Sunway Pyramid, not attractive enough. Sigh. Heard that deco at KLCC and also 1Utama had much better deco this year. Not had the chance to visit it yet, hope so later would have the chance.

A good rested day...

Rested myself yesterday (Saturday) after having watch the movie that i wanted to watch for sometime already. It was Alvin and the Chipmunk. Saw that in Leisure Mall, GSC. It was a great movie, have been watching that movie since small, consider it a movie i grown up with so it is kinda of a must for me to watch. After the movie, went home and within minutes i already fell asleep and next thing i know was morning already, about 12 noon but it took another 30 minutes before i really got up. Wow, the rest is really great. Have not been having enough sleep for the past 9 days, so took a good opportunity to rest myself.

Tested my camera and practising to use it effectively. Still not used to it yet, not so kind of simple layman camera to use. More to it than just a camera. Its a gear and to me, it is also a gadget to capture worth while moments in life. Hope to learn more on photography.

Already tired now, will be sleeping soon. Hope for yet a better day tomorrow :)
