Venue: Labuan Airport
Woke up as requested, by about 1am. Got all my stuff, packed it in my bag and started heading down to the Radio Room, then Paul tried to radio the boat that i am suppose to board, Tanjung Huma, it is already parked nearby already, waiting for unloading and loading of stuff and passenger which includes me. Later Paul radio the other boat, Permint Aman which is suppose to load the required material from the port and the replied that he got is that the expected ETA to Tioman-6 rig is about 7.15am, which means i would need to stay at Tioman-6 until that time also. Looking at the time, 1.00am contrasting with the time i would board the boat, it is a difference of 6 hours which eventually lead me back to my sleep. Went up to my room again, leaving behind my big Halliburton bag at the Radio Room to be looked after by Paul.
I had sleepless night before i woke up at 1am just now. Seems that i can lay my mind to rest, keep on thinking a lot of stuff and also can hear the snore of the other guys in the room, my own watch ticking and also the surrounding. My mind is at an alert stage where i was not able to properly rest my mind. Perhaps the other reason is that i was pretty much anxious to be able to go back to KL and also to come back quietly. Bet few would be surprised and happy to see me :D I already broke the news to my parents, they seems happy for my return :)
Now i am sitting at the Labuan airport, waiting for the plane to arrive and also to board the plane which is suppose to depart at 5:20pm. Let me share a little more about the few hours that i had before reaching to where i am sitting now.
I was on the boat ride for about 4 hours plus, can't blame them for the speed, as the boat is carrying heavy loads. Over heard that they have some goods amounting up to few hundred tonnes. How to go fast with all that weight? While waiting for the boat to reach it's destination, i watched a movie in the video room which one of the Geoservices guy brought along. They put it to such load volume where it kind of irritates my ear. During the movie, one of the guy was smoking in the room, in the closed area, the smoke stinks to the max and i have to bear with it as the movie was kind of interesting and also bad of me to walk out of the room to discriminate the smokers. Guess i at last realize that most of those people working on the rigs are heavy smoker. Guess that would be their only leisure while being away from home and their comfort zone. People do say that working offshore is a stress and high tension working environment. Guess that is where the 'pain killers sets in.
After the boat stop near to the jetty, we switched boat to a speed boat to the jetty, to avoid the custom officer as i was told. I really wonder why. Anyway, that was a pleasant ride after few hours of boredom in the boat and the blow of the sea wind to the face is much comforting i would say. After that, we (the three of us) went for the horrible chicken rice i ever ate at Labuan, perhaps it was halal and therefore tasteless :P Then i went for shopping, got a bottle of Martini and also a bar of Old Jamaica then took a cab to the airport.
At the airport, wondered around looking for more chocolates for my friends and family. At last the bill amounted to RM70 plus. Hmm...i wonder, but what is money when u cant spend it :) Later went to the MAS office to get my receipt printed for the check in to the departure hall and after the check in, here i am sitting down at where i am blogging currently while waiting for those photos that i have took to be processed by the software with my trademark and signature to be posted online later when i got home.
Opps...i forgot to mention about the lady in red tank top with short mini skirt who was in the MAS office also, got her number and step out while waiting for her number to turn up. Hmm...wonder why she do not want to stay. Could it be that her skirt is so short that she cannot sit else she will expose part of her panties, if she wears any...:P or would it be because she got some old guy hidden in the car outside the airport waiting for her to come back to him? Hmm...just don't know, just wondering of the possibilities.
Now, 4:52pm, i saw the plane that would be flying me back to KL arrived and the passenger from KL is leaving the plane fading into the arrival hall. Guess it wouldn't be long before i can board the plane. Guess what would be the first thing to do when i reach the plane later? Lay down my ass and then ask for a drink. I am very thirsty now, kind of dehydrated and would need a glass of juice or drink to water me else i would wilt like plants :P or perhaps the weather in Labuan is much hotter which would dehydrate me even more. No wonder the gal was on mini skirt and tank top, obviously for better air flow and also ventilation which is very important in aerodynamics. Does she needs it? Guess not as she was not boobless or boob less. Cheers, just trying to express the evil side of me while waiting for the flight to go home... Let me pen off now and board the plane as soon as possible.
I NEED WATER/H2O !!!
Time ended: 4:56pm
