Happy Chinese New Year, though late wishes, today is already the 12th day of the chinese calendar, but better than no wishes for this year. Hmm... CNY this year had its pros and cons. This year, the CNY leave is considered good, as for those in KL working, taking 3 days off will result in straight 10 days holiday. What more can you expect if it was not 10? I wanted to take more days off but guess good things need to come to an end, why not leave it to later when it could be best utilised :-) Cons is that i am so happen to be on-call throughout the celebration, with money for sure, but the feel of not able to enjoy the fullest and had to carry my laptop with me when visiting. Imagine, bringing laptop bag around during CNY, not the best thing that could ever happen. Why? Cause laptop bag can be considered as 'book bag' or in cantonese is pronounce is 'shu pau' which means sure lose. Surely those gambler would not want to meet me with that bag :-)
Since this year is not that good in terms of economic stability of the world nations, which also include our tiny country, just hope that things will turn out fine for me in terms of my work and hope there is progress over all and chances of advancement. Also hope all my family and friends would stay healthy and happy in life, bet that is the most important one in life. Some may hope for wealth and etc, but come to think of it, happiness is the main thing for me in life. Old fashion? Perhaps but what more can we get out of life if we are not happy clocking our daily shifts of our lifetime? Tell me or share with me if you have your thoughts.
What is left? Another 3 days more to go and CNY is over. Sigh, why time passes so damm fast, and the meaning of CNY seems to be fading, more to a days off rather than some big celebration. This year i tried to bring back some tradions back to my home, helped to decorate my house with some red stuff and hangging items, that could obviously bring up the CNY mood and as well to chip in to the reunion dinner with my relatives. Also to help out in preparing the food and not just sit and wait for food like the previous years, kind of like the idea of preparing for CNY as one whole family :-)
All well so far... hope this year will be a better year for all :-)
